Defines the vision and develops short and long-term goals and strategy that drive the achievement of maximum financial performance. Being a Top Subsidiary Executive builds and leads a team of executives with required expertise and skills to deliver results on the goals and nurtures a culture that supports the organizations objectives. Develops budgets and allocates funding to support the strategy, and adjusts funding based on major expenditures. Additionally, Top Subsidiary Executive requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of parent company. The Top Subsidiary Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Sourcebooks offers a 10- week PAID, IN-PERSON internship at our Naperville, IL offices in our Subsidary Rights Department. Interns are given the opportunity to get hand-on, intensive exposure, experience, and tools to help you learn about a career in book publishing.
The Subsidiary Rights/Sales team is seeking a detail-oriented intern with a strong interest in the publishing industry both in the US and abroad. During the Subrights internship, you will learn about licensing international, audio, book club, large print and serial rights for both adult and children’s books. Responsibilities include managing our rights catalog, doing data entry, creating newsletter and social media updates, and doing book mailings along with other administrative tasks.
