FLANDERS is looking for a Manager of Software Development to join our highly innovative engineering teams designing Autonomous Solutions for mobile equipment in the surface mining industry.

As a Manager of Software Development you will lead a team of globally distributed engineers to deliver system software that provides autonomous operation capability to mobile equipment in surface mining. You will drive software development process standards, provide direction, coach and lead Agile Software Development methodology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Budget and Resource Management of Software Teams globally distributed
• Hire, coach, lead and grow talent pipeline within the organization
• Coach team to apply best practices software development standards
• Execute multiple projects via the Agile Methodology
• Implement and update the Software Life Cycle Development Tools to meet the growing demand of the business
• Deliver software on budget, on time with high quality
• Lead the implementation of Automated Software Testing practices
• Enhance bench simulators test case coverage for improved quality
• Implement metrics to measure, track and update quality of software
• Ensure Designs comply with Autonomous Solutions Regulations and Cybersecurity Standards – drive required compliance testing and certifications
• Work with peers on new products introduction definitions and high level systems specifications
• Liaise with 3rd Party to evaluate / select technologies needed for the Product / Solution and partner on development whenever applicable
• Work with OEMs to design and specify software interoperability requirements of FLANDERS Products / Solutions with Base Machine Controls
• Apply all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment as needed
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment at all times.
