Middleburg Community Charter School (MCCS), a year-round School of Choice, kindergarten through fifth grade public charter school is seeking a dynamic, experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their leadership team and contribute to the school’s success. Located in Middleburg, Virginia, a captivating historical community, MCCS is a leading educational institution committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students in Loudoun County. 

MCCS is known for its exceptional active parental involvement, and is recognized for its academic progress, innovative ideas, integrated arts, and project-based learning using STEAM principles. Since opening in 2014, the school’s dedicated faculty and staff continue to help grow the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders and self-motivated students who are curious learners, know how to imagine new opportunities, take initiative and risks, and solve problems through learning pathways and self-reflection.  MCCS offers a project-based learning model with unique community and off-site experiences as integral components of the year-round school day.

The anticipated starting salary is $70,000 – $80,000 depending on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with major course work in accounting, business administration, or a related field, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in financial/budget services, and at least two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Experience in comparable or related positions in school finance administration is strongly preferred.
