Pay is depending on experience, minimum is $2,885.65/biweekly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and direct service quality efforts in all branches to ensure Customer First Service standards are maintained with appropriate levels of training, staff awareness and recognition. Coach and motivate branch employees through consistent observational feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer experience.
- Provide technical guidance, exception approvals, and/or risk review to employees.
- Respond to customer and banking staff inquiries regarding HSA/IRA products and processes.
- Review HSA/IRA related tax forms for accuracy and compliance. Approves transmission of HSA/IRA related tax files to the IRS after verification.
- Oversee HSA/IRA transfers to or from other financial providers. Research disputed IRA/HSA transactions and posts adjustments, improvements, expansions, or explains transaction posting to customer.
- Evaluate internal controls and risk management processes to identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and publish appropriate procedures to increase customer satisfaction, branch growth, operational efficiencies, employee productivity and compliance with banking rules and regulations.
- Research, develop and support the Branch Sales & Service initiatives and assist in formulating the department business plan.
- Ensure branches and Retail Banking achieves satisfactory audit results and collaborates with the Audit Department to evaluate processes or procedures that may need revision based on risk to the bank or its financial position.
- Complete online, written and in-person compliance training within established timeframes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include scheduling hours, interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; conduct performance evaluation; working with HR to address work related issues.
- Ensure employees complete compliance training within established timeframes; understand and implement compliance requirements applicable to their positions.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience that fulfill the requirements of the position may be considered.
Experience
- Five years of experience in Bank/Retail Banking Operations to include:
- Two years of management experience.
- Related military education/experience may be used as a substitute for education or work experience.
Knowledge & Communication Skills
- Thorough knowledge of banking procedures, government regulations and compliance requirements as they apply to branch, retail banking operations, consumer lending and NDIP operations.
- Exceptional customer service skills, consultative sales skills, and communicate information in a positive and professional manner and be able to provide on the job training to branch employees for outside calling, profiling and sales presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to comprehend, analyze, and effectively communicate business memorandums, technical procedures, and government regulations.
- Must understand and have the ability to implement applicable compliance requirements.
Analytical & Decision Making Skills
- Highly complex analytical ability required to independently resolve not only external customer issues, but to provide resolution to branch, bank staff, customers, auditors and regulators on complex situations.
- Must be thorough and detailed.
- Must be able to analyze financial statements, investment statements, and determine customers risk tolerance for investment products.
- Self-directed, able to work independently without supervision, and be able to prioritize multiple projects to meet firm deadlines. Assignments are typically in the form of goals with latitude for independent action in setting objective and deciding how to proceed.
- Must have and utilize exceptional time management skills and be able to manage multiple critical issues at one time.
- Ability to identify key issues in complex situations and determine appropriate course of action with limited resources and competing deadlines.
Computer/Software/Other Equipment Skills
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as PC, printer, fax/copier, and telephone.
