  • Description: Carroll College, a private, Catholic liberal arts college located in Helena, Montana seeks an Executive Assistant for the Office of Academic Affairs. Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, responsibilities include managing and overseeing the Office of Academic Affairs and other academic services; coordinating policies and processes for Academic Affairs; managing a variety of faculty and departmental processes (e.g., tenure and promotion, course evaluations, hiring part-time faculty); providing support to several faculty and college committees; working with Academic Affairs leadership in planning and organizing events, meetings, and receptions; managing several calendars; managing budgets within Academic Affairs; serving as a resource and liaison to the Academic Affairs leadership and faculty at-large; supervising and mentoring work study students and managing academic tutoring; maintaining a variety of academic records and information; effectively dealing with confidential information; providing back-up support services for faculty and for the President’s Office; and other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs.

    Qualifications: The successful candidate must have professional discretion and be able to work independently while managing multiple complex assignments; maintain a professional work environment with tact and diplomacy; demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication, writing, and computer and technology skills; have significant experience overseeing budgets and expenses; possess excellent organizational and analytical skills; and support the mission of the College. Familiarity with academic processes would be helpful but not necessary. Facility with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite preferred. Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience or training.
