Responsible for planning and directing quality policies, programs, and initiatives. Additionally, Top Quality Management Executive - Healthcare requires a MD from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. Typically requires extensive clinical experience. Typically reports to a top management.   • Responsibilities

    • Oversees the development and the implementation of the organization’s quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) and risk management programs in alignment with regulatory requirements and the organization’s strategy.
    • Develops, monitors, trends, and analyzes clinical quality targets and metrics, and designs plans to address gaps using researchbased, industryaccepted quality improvement methods and resources.
    • Reports on trends and analyses of performance on clinical quality and risk management metrics.
    • Works with other department leaders to create a culture of quality improvement and safety.
    • Develops short and longterm strategic plans regarding quality improvement and risk management. Ensures strategies align with patient needs, regulatory requirements, and industryaccepted best practices. Effectively supports the achievement of the organization's objectives and mission.
    • Leverages and evaluates health care technology and/or clinical information management systems to optimize quality improvement, risk management, and patient care.
    • Advises the clinical and operations teams on establishing key performance indicators and clinical goals to improve quality and manage risk.  Develops and maintains strong relationships with other executives, department heads, clinical team members, and staff to ensure effective, proactive, and ongoing communication.
    • Participates in the development, implementation, and revision of policies and procedures to accomplish the organization’s quality and risk management initiatives.
    • Advises on, and participates in, Joint Commission, state, and any other survey responses.
    • Maintains current knowledge of all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards as they relate to longterm care QAPI and survey requirements.
    • Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.
    • Other tasks as requested.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Minimum of 6 years’ experience working in the healthcare industry, with preference given to those with experience in longterm care
    • Previous experience in healthcare QAPI or risk management, with preference given to those who have 4 years progressively responsible leadership experience
    • Knowledge of the longterm care industry with knowledge of state and federal regulations and regulatory compliance
    • Experience in change management, clinical policy and procedure development, and quality improvement methods
    • Strong strategic and analytical orientation with the ability to translate strategy and vision into tangible goals and programs
    • Ability to travel
    • Preference given to those with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing (BSN/MSN), master’s degree in social work (MSW), or registered nurse (RN) social work license (LCSW) in a statebwhere at least one facility is located
    • Preference given to those with master’s degree in a healthcarerelated field or enterprise risk management
    • Proven track record of effectively leading a performance and outcomesbased program and staff
    • Exceptional leadership ability, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills
    • Strong Microsoft office skills and proficiency in using healthcare management software
