What to expect:
A busy, fast-paced county office in Easton is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to the Director and other administrative staff. This is a contract assignment, lasting 6-12 weeks. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing executive level support to the Director in all aspects from typing correspondence to receiving telephone calls to arranging appointments and interviews.
Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, project assignment lasting 6-12 weeks
Work Location: Easton, Maryland
What you will get to do:
- Interpret administrative decisions and policies to staff and transmit instructions
- Type manuscripts, correspondence and other documents, read reports and summarize information to facilitate the super’s review
- Arrange appointments and interviews
- Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence and proofread and sign outgoing correspondence, compose and proofread outgoing correspondences
- Maintain schedules, database, reports and confidential records, expense accounts and office supplies
- Act as an intermediary for the supervisor and maintain frequent contacts with public and private executives, and other officials
- Other duties as assigned
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: Mid-Level Experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to compose complex business correspondence and perform basic arithmetic computations
- Ability to use shorthand for dictation a plus
- Ability to maintain records, prepare reports and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication, writing and grammar skills
