Top Purchasing Executive leads procurement and purchasing operations and develops strategic plans to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing. Evaluates and develops strategic supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and implements systems for monitoring performance, assessing risk, and responding to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain. Being a Top Purchasing Executive fosters collaboration with other functions to define current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels.     JOB SUMMARY

    As an Application Developer II within our Information Technology department, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing custom software packages that drive our business operations. These software solutions encompass a wide range of applications, including our e-commerce website, custom APIs, internally developed web-based tools, and extending our Epicor Prophet 21 ERP. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving software code issues within the enterprise.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Work under guidance and direction of the Manager of IT Applications to develop and maintain custom business software.
    • Design, develop, implement, deploy, and maintain software applications utilizing .NET Framework/Javascript, SOAP/REST Web Services, MS SQL Server and other software tools.
    • Develop databases in MS SQL Server, including schema design, stored procedures, and writing SQL queries.
    • Complete application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities with business units.
    • Integrate with 3rd party customers and vendors using standard REST/SOAP APIs.
    • Suggest and introduce new technologies where appropriate to improve efficiency and scale the business.
    • Provide subject matter expertise to technical and business staff.
    • Support users by developing documentation and user assistance tools.
    • Other duties as required.





    Requirements

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience with C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, .NET Web API, REST, MS SQL Server, T-SQL.
    • Experience with JavaScript/Typescript.
    • Experience with version control, Git preferred.
    • Experience with presentation layer technologies, HTML, CSS
    • Working knowledge of object-oriented software design and design patterns (IOC, Dependency Injection)
    • Ability and inclination to learn new technology quickly as needed.
    • Previous experience developing web-based enterprise applications.
    • Ability to work in a professional fast-paced environment.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to adjust priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally to all vendors and all levels of the organization.
    • Must adhere to all safety and housekeeping policies and guidelines.


    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Object Relational Mappers (Dapper, Entity Framework)
    • MS SQL Server Reporting Services
    • Familiarity with UI Frameworks such as Bootstrap
    • Modern JavaScript frameworks such as Node/Vue
    • Experience with Docker is a plus.
    • Experience with Github/Github Actions a plus.
    • Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 or other Distribution ERP


    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (or equivalent experience)
    • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in software development.
