We are looking for Purchasing Assistant who will be responsible for updating and managing the Purchase Order process for a product base of 5000 SKUs. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, the ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a high-volume supply chain environment. This role will also work with Sales and Operations to achieve and maintain best in class customer service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
• Research potential vendors
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery
• Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
• Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices

• Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts

• Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
• Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition

Skills

• Quick thinker, researcher, and troubleshooter

• Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong reading and communication skills Solid organizational skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
