Currently we have a Public Relations Specialist role open. This position is responsible for publicity, media relations, and internal/external marketing communication. Coordinates all facets of job stories, maintains company website and video editing.
Essential functions of the position include:
- Write and administer company’s communication to trade press, distributors, and LBCE customers and/or potential customers.
- Research requirements/background/goals and develop plan for each job story, news release or video. Develop outline for interviews and perform interviews.
- Establish and maintain contact with key media personnel. Match content with media focus schedules. Coordinate media request for interviews, stories, and/or photography.
- Organize events including press conferences, media visits, and photo opportunities.
- Maintain and update public distributor websites, and social media sites.
- Coordinate video editing with in-house and external vendors, gaining approval from Product Managers. Maintain online video archive.
- Create and execute broadcast e-mail updates to distribution and Link-Belt Preferred Users.
- Coordinate production, delivery and billing of annual calendar program and other special projects.
- Locate and organize photography opportunities of product on job sites, gaining approvals from internal staff, construction companies, project owners, and any other required agencies.
- Coordinate activities of freelance photographers in step with company objectives/policies.
- Support trade show/events, which also includes pre-show and post-show activities.
- Act as primary and/or back up photographer/videographer for on-site job stories and in-house activities
- Assist and support other Marketing/Communication staff with other assigned tasks.
General qualifications for this role:
- 4 year college degree preferred in marketing/public relations/journalism/business/computer applications or closely related program
- Minimum of five (5) years’ marketing/public relations experience with extensive web writing, to include web editing preferred.
