    The LJA Program Management group oversees transportation projects and programs to ensure delivery is on time, on budget, and meets the quality standards of the client. We augment the client’s staff by overseeing other consultant work, providing in-house production work upon request, and training in our area of expertise. We provide project management support for all phases of a project’s life - preliminary engineering, final design, construction inspection and maintenance and asset management – to accomplish the client’s goals and needs.

    General Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for review and/or development of data analytics, cost estimates, feasibility studies, risk assessment and mitigation, and for the overall direction of asset management program development for TxDOT and local government projects.
    • Manage and maintain project schedules and financial requirements.
    • Uses advanced techniques, theory, precepts and practices in a specialized engineering field and related sciences and disciplines.
    • Project Director will interact with Client and other consultants and must have good communication skills.
    • May serve a management role on GEC and CEC programs for transportation agencies.

    Required Education/Licenses:

    • Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering is required
    • Licensed as a Professional Engineer

    Required Experience:

    • 15 years of experience in transportation - TxDOT and RMA procedures highly recommended
    • Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs
    • Proven experience in handling project management responsibilities including multiple deadlines
    • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal employees
    • Ability to build strong relationships
    • Software programming experience w/ data analytic skills preferred
    • Program Management experience preferred
    • Business improvement process inclined
