We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) as we are expanding in the Southeast metro. Training will be held in our Minneapolis office.
The desired candidate will possess the following attributes:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Promptly and efficiently answer multi-line phones.
- Collaborate effectively with outside practitioners to coordinate offsite, Inpatient and add-on appointments.
- Perform, manage and prioritize necessary scheduling functions including obtaining patient demographics, insurance, referring physician data and medical records.
- Manage, prioritize, and follow up of time sensitive task and documenting communications and status updates between patients and care team.
- Work collaboratively with insurance verification specialist on prior authorizations and forward clinical documentation when necessary.
- Arrange interpreter services for clinic appointments and over-the-phone translation.
- Provide support and back up as needed, including traveling to other clinic location(s).
- Assist practitioners with administrative duties.
- Other clerical duties assigned by Clinic Manager and COO.
Required Qualifications:
- High School graduate.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Pleasant demeanor and positive attitude.
- Organizational, prioritizing, and critical thinking skills.
- 1-2 years scheduling patient appointments in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Commercial and State sponsored insurance-preferred
