    The Business Development Executive is responsible for the business development process within a territory to promote the company and acquire new client accounts. Duties include working closely with other company executives and management teams, meeting with potential clients, maintaining client relationships, and monitoring market trends to develop new business opportunities.

    EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
    • Identify business opportunities by determining prospects and evaluating their industry position; research and analyze sales options.
    • Target and prospect new accounts using prescribed methods, including cold-calling and networking.
    • Represent the company at networking events, including the Chamber of Commerce.
    • Use social media to generate sales leads and appointments; identify decision-makers in prospective companies.
    • Maintain and grow prospect database.
    • Attend local events, exhibits, and networking events to identify prospective leads and establish the company brand in the market.
    • Establish and develop prospect relationships; recommend solutions and sell products and services.
    • Maintain client relationships by providing support, information, and guidance; research and recommend new opportunities, profit, and service improvements.
    • Stay current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
    • Collect, analyze, and summarize information and prepare reports.
    • Perform related duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

    Knowledge of:
    • Challenger and Sandler Methodology.
    • Managed Services.
    • Voice over IP.
    • Security - Access Controls, Security Surveillance.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, abilities, and skills is qualifying.  A typical way to obtain the qualifications would be:
    • Two (2) years business to business sales experience. 
    • BA/BS Business Administration, Marketing or related field and Bilingual/Spanish desirable.

    LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE:
    Possession of a valid Class C California Driver’s License and a good driving record.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/A.D.A.
    • Ability to operate a computer, calculator, telephone, and copying machine.
    • Ability to sit for two hours at a time.
    • Ability to climb a footstool or ladder for the purposes of retrieving records.
    • Ability to get from one location to another in the course of doing business.

    COMPENSATION: Base salary plus commission with an OTE of $110,000.
