General Description | Northeast is a community college in Nebraska that serves a 20-county region focused on helping all learners to reach their education and workforce goals. The Vice President of Human Resources & Organizational Development provides leadership and strategic direction to the human resources functions at the college in the context of the mission, vision, values and strategic direction. This position reports to the College President. Essential Functions: Provides strategic leadership to the development and implementation of data-informed strategies and practice in human resources that are consistently informed by the current and aspirational student experience in the context of our mission, vision and values. This includes, but is not limited to, employee relations, labor relations, compensation and benefits, payroll, college-wide talent recruitment, and college-wide professional development programming.
Recruit, select, train, manage and evaluate staff in support of the mission, vision, and values. Ensure that staff members are regularly analyzing and using data, predictive analytics, and qualitative evidence of the student experience to make decisions about programs, evaluate their effectiveness, celebrate successes, and communicate priorities. Takes responsibility for advancing excellent practice through professional development that is significantly integrated across the division and supported through adequate resource allocation and visible recognition. Serve as the Title IX Compliance Officer and provides leadership to reducing sexual violence on campus. Serve as the college's Equal Opportunity and Privacy Officer, Title IX Coordinator, and Section 504/ADA Compliance Officer. Serve on the President's Cabinet and provide leadership to collaborative activities that support the mission, vision and values of Northeast Community College and communicates the urgency and potential for advancing equitable student success. This includes representing the college on regional boards, state-wide meetings, events, and activities related to human resources. |
