Compliance Quality Control Program Manager- SVP (Hybrid)

  • As part of the Compliance Transformation team, the Compliance TL QC / Challenge Manager will support the Compliance TL QC Lead with the independent challenge of the design and execution of Gaps and related regulatory commitments under the Consent Order. The goal of the QC process is to evaluate the effectiveness and quality of Gaps and other regulatory commitments scope, design, plans and execution in the context of reducing risk and remediating the linked Articles/Paragraphs, Issues, and Gaps. The role will provide exposure to senior stakeholders and sponsors as well as experience with initiatives that are of the highest priority and visibility within the firm.

    Job Description: The Compliance TL QC Manager will work with Regulatory Commitment Owners, Accountable Executives, Central Transformation Office and Program Managers to ensure that Gaps (and aligned commitments) are evaluated for their effectiveness and quality of scope, design, plans and execution.

    Responsibilities:

    • Leads planning, direction, execution, and monitoring of day-to-day activities related to QC
    • Drives adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards
    • Supports stakeholders as governance and/or process subject-matter-expert
    • Monitors reports to ensure appropriate process steps are followed by stakeholders
    • Performs quality reviews of stakeholder delivered documentation
    • Coordinates with key stakeholders to ensure that the provided documentation is sufficient to meet process requirements
    • Maintains and/or update applicable logs and/or databases to reflect approved decisions, and/or status changes
    • Manages and maintains recordkeeping documentation to ensure an audit ready environment
    • Supports the preparation and maintenance of progress and status reports for QC
    • Leads the identification and drives resolution of issues
    • Escalates program risks to senior stakeholders and management, when appropriate
    • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency
    • Additional duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • 10 years of experience, preferably some experience in transformation roles
    • Intellect, curiosity, rigor, and the ability to combine a perspective of the big picture with the attention to detail important attributes
    • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically and to creatively problem solve
    • Well-developed listening skills and a strong ability to engage with colleagues at all levels
    • Articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing
    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders, including a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues/requests/escalation
    • Knowledge of processes and controls, internal audit and regulatory validation of risk management capabilities and experience preferred along with a strong business understanding of the Citi products and services
    • Excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office

    Education:

    • Bachelor's/University degree, potentially Masters degree
