 As a Senior Networks Engineer, you will:

• Participate in processes throughout all phases of the ITIL Service Lifecycle, including submitting Change Requests
• Provide Tier 3 IT network engineering and monitoring on SolarWinds and Cisco Prime Infrastructures

A week in the life of a Senior Networks Engineer: 

• Troubleshooting/Tier II/Tier III support. 
• Monitoring network using SolarWinds/Cisco Prime Infrastructure. 
• Documenting network utilizing Visio drawings/developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 
• Diagnosing and resolving the toughest performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to the platforms listed above. 
• Writing SOPs to accomplish repetitive tasks. 
• Participating in processes throughout all phases of ITIL Service Lifecycle, including submitting Change Requests. 
• Investigating and resolving operational problems along with other engineering and technical personnel. 
• Working on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases to integrate within the customer’s production IT environment. 
• Other tasks to include requirements specification, performance modeling, end-to-end functional analysis, cost estimation, and joint application design.

• Active Top Secret
• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required (e.g., Security CE, CCNA-Security, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, CND, OR SSCP)
• Experience using and administering Cisco firewall and IPS.
• Knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Windows Systems, HP SANs, VMware products.
  • Cisco ACI, DNA, Prime and ISE.
  • TACLANE and GEM One
• Cisco CCNP-level knowledge
• Microsoft Word/Excel/Visio experience.
• Good writing skills.
• Good customer relation skills.
• Resourcefulness, adaptiveness, inclination for learning, and ability to write reports accurately.
• Must be open to random CI polygraph.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.  The salary/hourly range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000.
