The Enterprise Director of Planning is a member of the Broward County Aviation Department’s (BCAD) Senior Team and will report to the Chief Development Officer.
This position is responsible for the administration and direction of planning activities for Broward County Aviation Department and administers all planning activities, develops and implements the airports' master plans, and develops long-range plans, Airport Layout Plans (ALP), and related Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The position manages a total staff of approximately 10 individuals, which includes the Environmental Program Manager and staff; the GIS Program Manager and staff; and the Planning Administrator and staff.
Administers the Broward County Aviation Department programs for the development, implementation, and promotion of short and long-range strategic plans, capital improvements programming and implementation, economic impact analysis, grant writing and administration, and federal and state legislative efforts.
Directs, through subordinates, the planning, scheduling, and coordination of departmental activities; develops policies, procedures, and priorities to meet established goals; provides leadership and oversight of development, implementation, and periodic updating of strategic, fiscal, and capital improvement programming and implementation consistent with federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
Provides leadership and oversight of all Broward County Aviation Department-related economic impact analysis; represents the Broward County Aviation Department interests before local, state, and federal agencies; represents the County before community groups, service organizations, and civic committees; attends conferences and public and professional meetings.
The Enterprise Director of Planning, in the absence of the Chief Development Officer, may serve as the Acting Chief Development Officer.
