Top Litigation Executive oversees all litigation related to an organization and ensures maximum protection of the organization's legal rights. Acts as a liaison between outside attorneys and in-house staff. Being a Top Litigation Executive directs cases through litigation cycle, reviews new files for coverage and liability issues, and develops a cost effective defense strategy. Consults with senior management to resolve issues and decide settlements. Additionally, Top Litigation Executive requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to top management. The Top Litigation Executive manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Top Litigation Executive typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Experience with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, state mini-TCPA laws, and automatic renewal laws is a plus. Experience in other complex litigation areas, including consumer protection, unfair competition, and false and deceptive advertising, is preferred.
Familiarity with investigations and proceedings initiated by the Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and other federal and state regulatory agencies is a plus. Ideally, candidates will have hands-on litigation experience and will want to gain further
responsibility and experience in the following areas: handling discovery and litigation discovery disputes, taking and defending depositions, conducting witness interviews, drafting and arguing pleadings and motions, and managing cases on a day-to-day basis. Excellent legal writing and research skills are required.

- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Ability to be a self-starter who is eager and curious to learn new topic areas quickly and can work independently as well as be part of a collaborative team
- Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work proactively to develop creative solutions in order to meet client and team needs
- Enthusiasm for working in a team environment
- Bar membership in good standing in the jurisdiction in which you plan to practice
