Feminists Choosing Life of New York is a state-wide human rights coalition that embraces and promotes whole-life feminism and the consistent life ethic. We serve New Yorkers and beyond. We educate on the impacts and root causes of publicly sanctioned legal violence, including abortion and capital punishment.

FCLNY is seeking a hard working individual willing to serve with the nonprofit’s executive director (ED) on a broad array of tasks. FCLNY wants to hire or develop an exceptional advocate for social justice issues. Opportunities for growth available. A successful candidate must have the capacity to quickly assume responsibility for diverse tasks. The ED Assistant will be expected to help with strategic planning as well as day-to-day operations; to take ownership over assigned tasks and projects, supervised by the ED.

Core Responsibilities/ Expectations include:

• Aid in administrative tasks including:
• scheduling appointments for a multitude of meetings
• organizing and promoting events;
• conducting follow up emails and phone calls
• calendar management,
• organizing files, preparing and updating documents
• database/ website (WIX) management
• Graphic Design
• Networking and public speaking
• Research and Writing
• Assist in communication with NY media & press, including blasting press releases, scheduling guest news appearances and radio ads

Requirements/Qualifications include:

• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with a variety of different audiences: board members, advisory board members, donors, media, church leaders, etc.
• Demonstrate success meeting deadlines and maintaining composure under pressure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
• Ability to travel occasionally to destinations throughout NY.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel software applications; Canva.

Position Pay Range

• Salary commensurate with educational level and experience and other factors. Range $45,000 - $60,000
• Eligible for raise based on performance

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Flexible. 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday: 9am - 5pm.

Experience: Management/Marketing/Public Relations experience preferred (Some on the job training available for appropriate candidate)

Ability to Commute: East Aurora, NY 14052 (Required)

Work Location: In person; opportunity for online or hybrid work hours, based on performance
