Top Legal Executive plans and directs all aspects of an organization's legal affairs. Ensures all business policies and activities are managed correctly and in compliance with current laws. Being a Top Legal Executive provides strategic guidance on legal issues, manages compliance and risk mitigation, reviews contracts, and handles other legal duties to protect the organization's interests. Uses a broad range of legal expertise and current knowledge to advise leadership on any regulatory changes or actions that may impact the business. Additionally, Top Legal Executive assists or represents the organization in business negotiations. May assist in the defense of the organization in lawsuits and the prosecution of lawsuits on behalf of the organization. Requires a JD. Requires State Bar membership. Typically reports to Top Legal Executive. Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization. Responsibilities:
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

- Demonstrates awareness of ethical/legal issues as applied to patients, self and others.
- Articulates and models the values of caring and demonstrates a Patient Centered Focus.
- Assesses patient's pain and/or level of comfort and provides prompt intervention specific to the patient's needs. Accepts and embodies the role of leader at the point o care delivery.
- Maintains a focus on care and service to patients and families.
- Associate’s degree is required. Graduate of a School of Nursing program. Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree is preferred.
- Current license as an RN in New Mexico or compact license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
