• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by modifying classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
• Implement individual and group activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment ? including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.

Preferred qualifications:

• 2 years preferred professional child care experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Basic technology skills or ability to learn easily
• High energy with the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, kneel, bend, squat, and crawl
• Talk to and hear voices at many levels
• See up close and up to a certain distance, see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception
• Ability to work well with others (teachers, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
• A basic understanding of child development or eagerness to learn
• Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification upon hire
• Must clear a full background check
• High School Diploma/GED or significant college credit in early childhood education or related field of study.

• An interest/background in nature-based education.
• An interest/background of basic gardening and outdoor activities.
• Background/experience with Montessori and Waldorf educational models.
