Connect Engineering and Land Surveying is seeking an experienced licensed surveyor to oversee the various aspects of land surveying projects. As a licensed surveyor you will be responsible for overseeing that surveys are conducted accurately, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications while demonstrating the ability to work alongside a survey team effectively. This role requires strong technical knowledge with the ability to convey complex surveying concepts in a clear and understandable manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Job Requirements & Responsibilities
- Create reports and maps according to client or project requirements containing information from field measurements, boundary markers and topographical features
- Use a variety of modern surveying equipment, manual recording, computer-aided drafting programs and databases to collect and record data of geological areas according to project requirements
- Research historical maps, land records, previous survey results and land title information as needed to compare and verify current measurements and resolve questions of boundary lines
- Experience in performing field work with a good understanding of boundary and construction surveying practices
- Operate and set up survey equipment
- Self-motivated with good time management and ability to work outdoors
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards
- Familiar with various survey equipment, GPS devices, CAD and common computer software
- Excellent mathematical skills for calculations and measurements
- Strong knowledge of land surveying principles and practices
