The Investor Relations Manager is responsible for executing Newmont’s Investor Relations strategy specifically as it relates to messaging, external materials, and peer analysis. This role will be a critical piece of delivering the quarterly earnings process, including creating content, managing and participating in the internal review process and reviewing peer results.
Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:
Quarterly Earnings and Guidance:
Work directly with the organization to develop key messages relative to the Company’s strategy and operational and financial performance each quarter
Prepare quarterly press releases and partner with Legal and Communications to coordinate distributions
Prepare presentations to facilitate earnings calls, conferences and investor engagement
Participate in the development of Q&A material to support investor engagement
Manage the process for internal review and QA/QC on all external material
Prepare board reporting deliverables as needed
Review performance against guidance and report variances to IR leadership throughout the year
Peer Analysis:
Proactively monitor peers in the gold and diversified mining space
Maintain extensive knowledge of our competitors financial and operational performance as well as the “junior” companies and exploration space.
Drive new and innovative solutions for Investor Relations by staying informed on industry and peer trends
Mine Tours and Capital Market Days:
Create external materials for specialized events, including presentations, storyboards, and logistical packets
Manage the process for internal review and QA/QC on all external material
Retail Investor Engagement:
Execute the retail engagement strategy with thoughtful outreach, messaging and timely and accurate responses to Newmont’s retail investor base
Department Budget:
Prepare the IR team budget based on planned engagement and the IR strategy for the year
On a quarterly basis, review the budget for variances to be reported to IR leadership

This position is based in our Denver Hub with a hybrid schedule of remote and onsite work. Travel may be required for conference attendance.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $106,800 - 126,825. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
