Position Summary - Shipping & Inventory Control Specialist

CMT Inc, Hot Springs, has an opening for a Shipping and Inventory Control Specialist in support of aerospace parts manufacturing operations. Main job duties include Shipping, Receiving, and Material Control. Goal is to maintain accurate control of inventory counts, locations, and traceable documentation for parts, hardware, adhesives, raw materials, and tooling. This is a full time position with a full benefits package available.

Job Duties

• Perform Shipping and Receiving Functions.
• Perform as back up person for stockroom and tool crib inventory control functions.
• Maintain accurate control of inventory counts, locations, and traceable documentation for parts, hardware, adhesives, raw materials, engineering mylars, and tooling.
• Update ERP system for all transactions in and out of stock room.
• Prepare parts and tools for shipping
• Maintain clean and orderly Material Storage area.
• Load and Restock Overhead Supply Vending System
• Scanning completed Job Orders and retained documents.

Other duties will include as required:

• Pick-up and delivery using company pick up truck.
• Assist and back up for stockroom specialist.
• Building Shipping Crates
• Operate Shears and Saws
• Back up for Overhead Supply Vending System ordering.
• Perform Building, Grounds, and Office Maintenance.

Skills Required

• Thorough attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
• Math skills - Ability understand and calculate UM conversions
• Multi-tasking capability – Cover stockroom, Tool Crib, and many other tasks assigned by supervision.
• Personal Initiative – Recognize necessary tasks and plan activity according to work flow, must function well with minimal direct supervision
• Computer Skills – experience with ERP and Inventory Control Systems and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Forklift Operation Experience
• Must have a valid Arkansas driver’s license and submit to an insurance driving record check to operate company vehicle
• Inventory control and cycle counting experience
• Flexibility – Ability to cover a wide range of tasks
• Disciplined approach to task completion.
• Positive interpersonal relations with manufacturing employees being supported.

Job Schedule

• Normal Shift hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Flexibility in hours before and after shift will be required to match workload

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs safely
• Ability work on feet 80% of shift
• Must pass pre-employment Drug Screen
• Good vision or corrective glasses
• Ability to work in manufacturing shop environment with dust, noise, heat, and cold.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
