Summary
Performs various Production Control activities including releasing orders, gathering and filing records, reporting on use of materials and monitoring customer orders
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Release Custom and Special work orders to the Production department, making sure that lot traceable items have been issued to assure accuracy;
maintain any changes to shipping data for each order. File closed Special work orders. Assist manufacturing personnel and Customer Service with any questions / issues regarding the order / s
Outside Vendor Orders : Analyze and determine quantities to release for outside vendor items. Release production packets and fill out requisitions.
Verify that all steel was issued and to the correct job. Write up purchase requisition for all outside vendor processing orders.
Track jobs at the outside vendor for completeness. Arrange for materials to be delivered and picked up from all outside vendors on a weekly basis.
Production Work order close : analyze all completed Customs and Special work orders for completeness prior to work order close.
Verify that the correct material / quantities were used and within the set variance. Research and solve all problems prior to order close out.
