Position Summary : This Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for managing the inventory control processes- and procedures for LCEC;
develop and maintain sound and effective inventory policies and procedures for material management and logistic processes that ensures the integrity and reliability of materials for all Cooperative facilities to include ongoing maintenance and construction programs.
The inventory control supervisor also develops and reports department metrics. This position also promotes compliance with company policies and procedures and supervises the Inventory Control Analyst and the Inventory Control Specialist.
Essential Functions
work closely with cross functional teams to ensure all material requests are accurate and complete; this includes recommending material alternatives to help ensure material needs are met.
determine and maintain optimal inventory based on business needs; provide strong support to department budget processes.
Identify and implement continual process improvements in inventory efficiencies and effectiveness; monitor and enhance the current procedures and processes to support warehousing operations as well as purchasing;
recommend improvements in policies or procedures, as needed.
Maintain close working relationships with cross functional teams to address supply chain challenges and improve overall warehouse performance;
contract procedures, negotiations, and approval processes.
