SUMMARY OF ROLE: The Director is responsible for uplifting the vision, strategy, and execution of the VMO to maximize the value of our partnerships. This role needs to drive VMO capabilities as an enabler of innovation, transformation and thought leadership while enabling total cost transparency. In addition, this role needs to drive agility into vendor operations to increase revenue, profitability, and growth while ensuring vendor costs and services are efficiently managed. This role stays abreast of emerging and changing practices, technologies, regulations, and policies. This role requires global IT experience in multiple areas including leadership, procurement, contract management, budget, finance, and outsourcing relationship management. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Vendor Relationship Management: Leads executive quarterly business reviews with business stakeholders and vendors. Leads collaboration with business stakeholders and vendors to establishes vendor performance measures, drives vendor performance aligned with strategic objectives of the vendor relationship, deliverables, and accountabilities. Resolves escalated issues and escalates significant issues to Sr. Leadership and vendor. Overall DTS Contingent Workforce Management: Creates and drives strategy for effective management of our contingent worker spend across DTS to ensure alignment to build/buy strategy and optimal use of budget to drive successful business outcomes. Service and Issue Management: Oversees VMO team providing single point of contact between business stakeholders and vendor, ensuring that stakeholders deal with vendor within the terms and conditions of the contract, and that all communications between vendor and stakeholders take place effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner. Consults on high-impact contract development and negotiation with vendors. Performance Management: Actively trends performance and resource gaps relative to service level agreements and leads cross functional teams to implement corrective actions aligned with best practices. Risk & Compliance Management: Ensures vendor contracts and agreements meet compliance requirements and vendors adhere to corporate policies, data privacy and other legal and regulatory requirements. Contract Management: Utilizes Kimberly-Clark procurement standard processes and tools to manage and control vendor related documents such as policies, procedures, and compliance documentation. Team Leadership: Coaches and develops high-performing team. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree Essential Experience: 15 years of Professional experience with 7 years in vendor management and/or procurement experience. Good understanding of Kimberly-Clark organization & strategy, service delivery footprint and signature capabilities. Good network across global/regional leadership teams and functional leadership teams. Experience in managing stakeholders across functions and locations. Understanding of applicable methodologies and program/project management capabilities and Kimberly-Clark Ways of Working. Leadership: Innovative capabilities, agile mindset requiring strategic thinking and foresight. Challenge the status quo and facilitate different perspectives to drive solutions. Capable of working in a direct and matrix organization, driving collaboration across businesses and functions. Able to manage large work efforts and coordinate distributed teams. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Functional/Technical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze financials (capital and expense) as well as internal and external costs. Able to demonstrate knowledge in multiple partner verticals, such as finance, supply chain, and technology. Able to create integrated partner models. Able to solve organizational problems, articulate views/roadmaps for future development, and understand the interaction between infrastructure, operations, and development. Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences. Strong ability to apply internal controls and ethical practices. In addition to overseeing the Vendor Management Office, the VP, Enterprise Applications & IT Effectiveness supports HR and Legal Corporate Functions, IT Program Management along with the Chief Research and Development Officer.
