Position Summary :
People Services is a trusted partner in providing administrative support functions that allow the UCI community to focus on their core functions to accomplish the UCI mission of teaching, research, public service, and patient care.
Members of People Services work in close collaboration with all three business units to meet their client's needs and expectations.
People Services is directly accountable to the Chief Human Resources Officer / Vice Chancellor - Human Resources but also has to meet the service expectations of the executive director for each local HR unit.
The objective of the department is to position ourselves to cultivate a strong, collaborative relationship with HR and its clients, identify opportunities for enhancing organizational effectiveness, and serve as a technical point of contact for assigned functional area.
Reporting to the HRIS Supervisor, the HRIS Representative performs quality reviews, maintenance and accurate data processing in HR & Payroll Systems as it relates to organizational, job, position, salary, work licensures, and other key components critical to an employee's records, start and term dates, all employment life cycle data related changes and to meet compliance standards.
Serves as the liaison to Payroll, IS, Risk Management, Compliance, , and other partners across the organization. Responsible for employee life cycle audits and documentation monitoring.
Incumbent maintains current working knowledge of and advises clients on the data, system and processes, assists requestors and end-users with inquiries, procedures or system issues.
Escalates complex issues and questions to management. Finally, incumbent gathers data, performs general analysis and reporting.
Applies business process and analysis concepts and UCI policies and procedures to resolve a variety of business process problems.
Works on business process issues of limited to moderate scope where evaluation of processes, procedures and data requires analysis using a variety of factors.
