General Responsibilities: For this position you will be working closely with civil engineers, geologists, lab techs, and field personnel to assist with the management, coordination, and performance of project field services, data collection, quality control, and assist in report preparation for geotechnical projects including but not limited to; site geology review, exploration plan development, visual sample classification, help and review lab testing, generation of soil/rock/pavement boring logs, summary documents, and project invoice management. You will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments. Projects sizes will vary from local municipalities to departments of transportation. Much of our work involves geotechnical and foundation recommendations for transportation-related structures, such as roadways, culverts, retaining walls, and bridges.
