GENERAL PURPOSE
Applications are being accepted for a Fundraising Coordinator at Northwest State Community College. The Coordinator will implement strategies that will play a key role in the expansion of the Foundation Fundraising program. This position will assist with Annual Giving preparation, solicitation and marketing for financial and grant support. The Coordinator will assist with promoting the mission as established by the Board of Trustees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist with the design and implementation of a comprehensive development program to generate financial support from alumni, individuals, corporations, and foundations, by creating broad-based interest and involvement in the programs and activities of the College.
2.Identify, cultivate and solicit annual gift prospects.
3. Create direct mail, social media and related material for annual giving.
4. Assist with the outreach that effectively involves faculty, staff, alumni, board members and volunteers in the solicitation process.
5. Initiate ideas for grant proposals by assisting in writing proposals, letters of inquiry to private foundations, corporate sponsors and government agencies.
6. Develop and implement short and long-range Foundation marketing plans through print, digital and social media.
7. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications department to ensure that publications, promotional materials, web materials, and advertising share a common message and goal.
8. Assist with the coordination of special events and sponsorship opportunities.
9. Oversee external communication activities, including community relations events.
10. Coordinate activities of the NSCC Foundation and Alumni Boards.
11. Other similar duties as assigned.
