Are you an experienced Cyber Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a background in creating flexible and resilient C4ISR architectures, protecting critical cyber infrastructure, and evaluating cyber defensive capabilities? Then we have a great opportunity for you to support the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) headquarters, in the Directorate of Requirements and Resources (J8) by providing planning, analysis, innovation, and concept testing to develop new capabilities to meet operational challenges.

A week in the life of a Cyber SME:

• Provide expertise in Cyber offense and defense capabilities, doctrine, and policy.
• Supply insight and courses of action based on an understanding of the Cyber related technologies and technical environments.
• Assist with engineering for systems to ensure proper end-to-end integration, technical insertion, resolution of system issues, and operation of emergent and existing cyber-sensing and cyber operations capabilities.
• Support Cyber related exercises, assessments, and operations.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT), Cyber security, or a related discipline
• Relevant experience within the last 12 months, in a DoD environment, relating to IT and/or Cyber, including Cyber offense and defense-related fields, along with planning, training, or doctrine
• Joint Capability Technical Demonstration experience
• Five years or more of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Cyber Readiness testing, Cyber Systems Engineering, Dynamic Defense support, Cyber mission mapping, Network sustainment, or Open Architecture
• Six years or more of relevant DoD experience developing, editing, evaluating, and managing Cyber related technical documentation, including DoD program material and doctrine at the USINDOPACOM HQ or other Geographic Combatant Command HQ
• Ten years or more of relevant experience in a DoD environment relating to Cyber, including Cyber offense and defense-related fields, along with related planning, training, or doctrine
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI and Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility
