We have the best clients in the world! The reporters that work with us have been with us for decades. Our working relationships are very important to us.
Responsibilities:
- Cover freelance reporting jobs, which mostly consists of deposition work. We do report some random hearings and court work
- Make an accurate, verbatim record of proceedings in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Completion of a court reporting or stenomasking program
- Proven experience is appreciated, but we are willing to train you
- Certification is a definite plus, but Montana has no state test, and that's to a candidate's benefit
- Strong writing and editing skills with excellent command of grammar and AP style
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality content
- Proficient in using reporting software to transcribe and edit a transcript
- Familiarity with legal administrative procedures is a plus
- Excellent research skills with the ability to gather information from various sources
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with our valued clients
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
