Job Duties

Microsoft Corporation has the following job opportunity:

Plan, forecast, and develop deep business insight into revenue streams for the business. Analyze financial, budgeting, or accounting information that affects investments, revenuegeneration, expenditures, business risks, and realization. Identify strategies to ensure financial health of the business, as well as budget completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations. Advise on budgeting and accounting systems, reporting, and process improvements to support the scalability of the business. Direct financial activities, such as fiscal planning, procurement, and investments. May manage legal entity cash flows to ensure adequate liquidity available, financial obligations, and investment or repatriation of excess working capital. May collaborate with various business units regarding the use of new bank products and solutions that optimize cash, reduce administration, improve intercompany settlements, streamline reconciliation, and minimize FX payment conversions. Manage 4 senior finance managers. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more per week within same area as assigned MSFT office location.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related.
• Experience: 60 months of experience in any financial analysis related occupation.
• 60 months of experience in leading a team of business analysts to uncover key business insights and opportunities with financial ROI, and work with stakeholders to prioritize and optimize based on cost/benefit; Serving as a key business partner working directly with senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial narratives, analysis, and recommendations; Developing mechanisms to scale weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review deliverables; Maintaining the highest standards for financial models and reporting; Driving cost optimization opportunities; Leading short and long-term financial planning; and Reporting and presenting business analysis and recommendations to senior management.

Pay Range and Benefits Information

The offered base pay range for this specific position (V12588994), in Redmond, WA, is $216,091 to $246,091 per year.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. 

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
