Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. As a Maintenance Person, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and appearance of our facilities. This is a full-time position that requires strong leadership skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, install, and repair various components and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing repairs, and electrical work
- Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Respond to maintenance requests from staff and tenants in a timely manner
- Supervise and coordinate the work of external contractors when necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing maintenance concerns with professionalism and efficiency
Experience:
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is required
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively
- Previous experience supervising a team is preferred
