The individual in this role will be provide support to Construction field personnel and subcontractors to ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Serve as a point of contact for all staff and subcontract personnel in the areaBuild and manage relationships with employees and subcontractors to ensure timely submittal of all incidentsParticipate/Lead incident investigations and follow up on corrective actionsAssist/perform Site Safety and regulatory auditsSupport personnel in completion of daily tasks in compliance with established Site Safety policies and proceduresSupport ongoing demolition activities on facilities and ensure compliance by employees and contractorsCommunicate and interpret applicable safety regulationsCreate and distribute area safety communications/alertsAssist in company-wide safety-related communicationsCoach employees/subcontractors on safety-related expectations and levels of performanceAssist with employee health and worker's compensation casesKnowledge and Skills Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or certification in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering or other technical HSE field preferred. A combination of education, experience and training may be substituted for these requirements.Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in one or more of the applied areas and with experience working at a demolition site setting preferred, DoD, DOE and Federal site experience very helpfulEffective verbal and written communication skills are required; Spanish speaking and comprehension is helpfulThe candidate will need excellent planning, organizational, training, teamwork and presentation skillsMust be able to work effectively with people at all levels inside and outside the companyProficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.Physical Demands:Works both indoors and outdoors in and around heavy equipment with temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment.Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment and tools. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Must have ability to get in and out of vehicles regularly and ride over rough roads.
