  • Job Description Job Title: Health, Safety & Environmental Manager Classification: Salaried Exempt Reports To: Safety Director Function: Eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error, equipment and machine operations which may lead to human injury and/or property damage. Performs work to protect or improve air, land and water resources in order to provide a clean and healthful environment. Specific Responsibilities: · Implement program to improve Performance Expectations for industrial injuries. · Manage through all incidents and be available 24 hours per day · Manage the record keeping (OSHA, Investigations, Training, etc.) and provide analysis to management for assistance in decision making · Perform or organize all Safety Training as required by OSHA and MRCG, Be the role model for safety. · Be the plant liaison for all new and ongoing MRCG Initiatives, Lead the Safety Committee and drive employee participation. · Environmental Ensure that the plant has no compliance issues. · Provide oversight for all medical programs including Workers Compensation, Short-Term Disability, Family & Medical Leave Act, etc. Essential Skills and Experience o Management experience of fast paced manufacturing environment with 400 employees. o Working knowledge of budgets and financials statements o Demonstrated record of establishing or maintaining safe work environments. o Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 6 month to 1 year time span. o Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. o Problem analysis and problem resolution. o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Beneficial Skills and Experience o Bachelor's degree in related field. o Positive Employee work environments. o Maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. o Kaizen techniques. o Personal Computer proficiency.
