POSITION SUMMARY: The Coordinator works closely with businesses, municipal departments, economic development organizations, and the community to recruit and facilitate the process for new commercial growth; supports business retention/expansion efforts in Brattleboro’s various commercial districts; supports planning efforts related to community and economic development; informs economic development related policy; and provides additional economic development services for the benefit of the Town of Brattleboro. Additionally, the position is responsible for developing and managing business support initiatives to ensure the recovery and resiliency of Brattleboro’s small business community.
SUPERVISION: Reports to Brattleboro Thrives, a partnership between the Downtown Brattleboro Alliance and the Brattleboro Area Chamber of Commerce, with the responsibility of supporting economic development for the town of Brattleboro.
