  • Job Summary

    The primary function of the Drilling Support Coordinator isto support the Drilling Supervisor on the day to day activities in the Geotechnical Drilling Department. Other responsibilities include project management assistance, general office administration, preparation for Minnesota Department of Health and other Well Permits, preparing/tracking driver logs, basic accounting support, typing, data entry, and completing other support activities as needed for the Drilling Department. All of this takes place within the framework of achieving the company's goals and vision.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Drilling Department Support
      • Prepare Well Permits for the Minnesota Department of Health and other entities as needed
      • Prepare and track Driver Logs
      • Track CDL Requirements for Drivers
      • Assist the needs of Drillers in the field as needed
    • Drilling Supervisor Support
    • Provide project administrative support:
      • Standardized Project Setup
      • Support with Bookings
    • Responsible for day-to-day drilling department activities. Including assistance with coordinating daily work assignments for drilling staff
    • Facilitating communication on safety and quality critical documentation/products needed for drillers/drivers
    • Assists with calibration documentation
    • Supports day-to-day department needs and provides clerical duties as required.
    • Assists department staff in preparation to meet deadlines for projects and other activities.
    • Prepares and reviews correspondence, reports, documents, etc. for accuracy and proper formatting.
    • Assist with travel/training arrangements for department personnel
    • Assist with sample intake and initial preparation, as needed
    • Operate office equipment as necessary in the preparation and distribution of work

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • High School or Equivalent
    • 2-5 years of office clerical or customer service experience
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
    • Experience successfully supporting a fast-paced department or group

    Preferred Skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
    • Knowledge of CDL Driver Logging Systems
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to learn new programs and support teams at a high level with AET Business Systems (e.g., Qest, Dynamics, gINT, etc.)


    Work Environment

    This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. On occasion, this position will be required to operate in a field environment.
