Marketing Promo Manager- Portland Division

  • POSITION PURPOSE:

    The Digital Marketing Manager will work with our strategic and versatile marketing team assisting with the creation and execution of digital marketing and shopper marketing strategies for Albertsons Companies’ Portland Division. This role will focus on digital platforms such as social media, email, website, digital display ads, and our loyalty program app. They will cultivate relationships internally to identify and act on opportunities for compelling social and digital content, marketing programs, and human interest stories; writing stellar, grammatically correct and well-crafted content with engagement opportunities and brand voice in mind; articulating research and industry best practices coupled with analysis of our own past performance to develop opportunities for campaigns and promotions; and by being genuinely engaged and passionate about your work and the coordinated voice of our brand. Lastly, the Digital Marketing & Analytics manager will be the voice of the division when working closely with the national marketing team, local vendors, and partnered agencies to implement loyalty programs and campaigns. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing.

    Responsibilities :

    • Manage local loyalty program budget and optimize performance for customer retention, acquisitions, and engagement using data analysis
    • Oversee regional social media strategy including managing the annual social media budget
    • Collaborate with key business units to execute digital marketing campaigns based on departmental initiatives
    • Advise and create digital display, mobile and social media ad strategies from corporate team
    • Sell, plan and execute digital Shopper Marketing programs at a division and national level
    • Direct email, landing page, and sweepstakes testing and creation to drive improved campaign results
    • Work synergistically with in-house creative agency in the digital marketing space to produce high-quality content
    • Maintain relationships and execute initiatives with local vendors and media partners
    • Manage local influencer ambassador program to create unique influencer campaigns that tell our brands story
    • Identify new trends within the grocery industry and digital world for valuable insights that supports business goals
    • Conduct market research for competitive environments and consumer insights that supports strategic campaigns
    • Plan, market and execute onsite marketing activations with components of digital
    • Present digital campaign performances to executive and sales team and advise on yearly digital plans
    • And other duties and work as assigned

    KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

    Education and Experience Level:

    • Bachelors degree in business marketing, analytics, management or related fields
    • Minimum of five years digital marketing experience in B2C space
    • Strong project management and organizational skills
    • Professional experience developing social media content including targeted sponsored ads
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Preferred experience with mobile optimization and geotargeting
    • Proven experience identifying and creating a target audience
    • Mass scale event planning and social/digital amplification experience
    • Understanding of loyalty programs and data interpretation a strong plus
    • Prefer a strong understanding of influencer reach
    • Ability to develop creative copy for use in all marketing mediums
    • Experience working with CPG companies and an understanding of Shopper Marketing is a plus
    • Be on top of the latest digital marketing trends and know what is effective in the ever-changing social media space
    • Knowledge of digital marketing tools such as Percolate, Hootsuite, Sales Force, PowerBI, Teams Chat, etc. a plus
    • Experience with video marketing a plus
    • 5-10 years of consumer retail marketing experience
    • Grocery experience preferred
    • 2-5 digital marketing experience preferred
    • 5 years of management experience

    Skills and Experiences:

    • Has real-world experience in online marketing, social media, advertising, PR, or similar field.
    • Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in social media. Understands social media universe including YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Foursquare, Flickr, Forums, Twitter, Wikis, blogs, etc.
    • Experience with building, coordinating and balancing content calendars including the scheduling and timing of shared corporate content and locally developed content without over-saturating channels.
    • Proficient in popular engagement and monitoring tools such as Hootsuite, Shoutlet, Curalate, Venuelabs, and Google Analytics.
    • Personally dedicated to blogging and use of Facebook and Twitter; maybe checked into a few locations on Foursquare.
    • Experience sourcing and managing content from development through publishing and beyond from internal, external and paid resources.
    • Experience with local-level engagement tactics and best practices.
    • Possesses functional knowledge or some experience with HTML/CSS
    • Possesses a keen visual eye with an ability to identify the most compelling visual content for dissemination. The ability to develop visual content yourself and/or clearly articulate your aesthetic goals and ideas to creative teams are highly desired.
    • Knowledge of search engine optimization, including basic keyword research.
    • Keen attention to detail in all facets of your work.
    • Brings to the position outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
    • Process oriented with the ability to advocate for processes that increase productivity, expectations, and meet the needs of the organization.
    • Ability to communicate results to management and in a fast paced environment.
    • Is eager to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility.
    • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work individually, on a project, or in a team environment.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
