Job Description:
We are looking to grow our team by adding a National Sales Executive focused on enterprise accounts in the energy industry. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial self-starter who will work hard to contribute their talents in order to help us achieve our sales and growth goals as an organization. The desired candidate must have experience in solution selling, including selling complex products and services to sophisticated buyers. They must work well in a team environment, have a positive attitude, possess excellent communication skills, have a willingness and ability to learn, be proficient with Microsoft applications, and have a proven track record in SMB and enterprise level sales. Experience with and a background in the energy industry i.e., solar, EV charging, oil & gas, is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Overall job responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business. Specific responsibilities include:
- Managing and nurturing complex enterprise sales processes that may involve multiple stakeholders
- Prospecting for new business using phone, email and other digital sales and marketing tools
- Attending trade shows
- Conducting account-level research
- Qualifying leads
- Responding to inbound inquiries
- Identifying customer-pain / challenges and identifying solutions
- Presenting the company’s solution via Zoom and/or in person
- Crafting and revising proposals
- Negotiating and closing business
- Maintaining accurate pipeline reporting and order entry
Qualified candidates must have the skills and demonstrated ability to:
- Must have sales experience with Enterprise Wireless Solutions / IoT Connectivity
- Must have a background in the energy industry (Solar, EV Charging, Oil & Gas)
- Develop and close business with new accounts in new markets
- Build, track and manage a large pipeline consisting of many active deals
- Quickly and efficiently follow-up on all inbound inquiries and related action items
- Engage with senior decision makers as a peer, to understand their IoT connectivity business challenges and propose solutions.
- Develop and deliver high-caliber presentations to senior decision-makers
- Craft highly professional emails and proposals
- Collaboratively engage with marketing and sales leadership to maximize the value of the pipeline, close business, and shorten deal cycles.
- Qualify and identify key buying influencers within these prospects
- Ensure all communication is logged, information is accurate, and ongoing information in kept up to date
- Help organize, attend, and follow up on various market and industry relevant tradeshows and conferences
- Close on prospects in sales pipeline and assist with onboarding of new customers
- Build and manage ongoing relationship with existing customers and solicit additional orders, train, and inform on new products, negotiate pricing and contract changes, and resolve disputes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field
- 2-5 years business development experience with demonstrated success
- 25% - 50% travel throughout North America
- Both SMB and enterprise level sales experience
- Must have sales experience with Enterprise Wireless Solutions / IoT Connectivity
- Must have a background in the energy industry (Solar, EV Charging, Oil & Gas)
