Alaska Legal Services Corporation is recruiting for a full-time staff attorney to support its Medical Legal Partnership (MLP) with Providence Alaska Medical Center. This position will be primarily based at Providence’s Anchorage campus and will focus on addressing the unmet, health harming civil legal needs of patients referred by Providence. Responsibilities will include representing individuals in civil legal matters; handling the administrative functions for the MLP project; and maintaining relationships with community partners.
Required: Applicants must be admitted to practice law in Alaska or admitted to practice in another state and be eligible for an Alaska Bar Rule 43 waiver. Computer proficiency (Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Internet, e-mail and data entry).
Highly Desired: A demonstrated commitment to serving low-income individuals; and a background working in cross-cultural situations.
Salary $64,785-$97,177 DOE. Generous benefits and leave package provided, including partial reimbursement of relocation expenses. Personal leave begins at six weeks per year for a full-time employee. ALSC observes 15 paid holidays.
