We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team at the RI Training School. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys varied tasks and has a hands-on approach to workplace challenges.
No specialized licensures or educational background beyond a high school diploma is required.
This is a hands-on, 'handyman' type position that requires a practical and proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks.
Key Responsibilities :
Light Maintenance : Replace light bulbs, reset circuit breakers, and perform simple plumbing tasks to address leaks.
Transportation : Responsible for the safe and efficient transport of vehicles within the premises.
Painting : Assist in various painting tasks as needed to maintain the aesthetic and structural integrity of the facilities.
Contractor Assistance : Provide support to contractors on-site to ensure that all projects are completed in accordance with our standards.
Skills and Qualifications :
Proven ability to handle a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and contractors.
Physical ability to perform manual tasks and work in various weather conditions.
