Job Summary and Qualifications

Financial Analyst job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the North Texas accounting month end close process (includes journal entry preparation and posting, income statement / balance sheet reviews, monthly operating report preparation, etc.).
• Assisting in managing the Medicaid supplemental payment programs for North Texas and Louisiana including quality programs, accounting, routine and ad hoc reporting, and annual budgeting.
• Preparing routine and ad hoc financial analysis including analysis of costs, volume, or other key indicators.
• Managing assigned projects and maintaining a high level of performance analysis (from all aspects of data gathering, organizing, and presenting to management).
• Interfacing with various Division leadership regarding financial reporting and data needs and issues.
• Identifying opportunities for streamlining, capturing, and automating data gathering and reporting processes.
• Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual reports and monitoring of trends for Medicaid supplemental payment programs.
• Assisting with annual budget for the North Texas Division and Medicaid supplemental payments programs.
• Working with the Division Finance Leadership team to perform ongoing reviews to ensure achievement of key performance measures.
• Responsible for having a detailed knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and systems, corporate policies and procedures, controls, and other finance program activities
• Performing other related job duties as required.
• Practicing and adhering to the facility's code of conduct, standards of behaviors, and mission and values.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-4 years in a healthcare hospital setting
• Master’s degree preferred
