Controller

Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:

• Weekly and Monthly financial reporting to the Executive Management Team
• Manage all aspects of accounting, including, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, chart of accounts and general ledger
• Oversee accounting staff including support, review and training as necessary
• Lead month-end close and reconciliation process, ensuring deadlines are met
• Building/modifying Excel Reports as needed
• Gathering data from multiple sources, analyzing data and resolving discrepancies, and required reporting to state agencies and franchisor
• Coordinate with external accountants regarding local, state and federal tax returns

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
• High level of Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
• Strong communication and problem-solving Skills
• Ability to learn and work quickly to meet deadlines
• Able to work well with senior executives, as well as mentor other team members

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• Previous work with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Inventory and/or Payroll
• Previous work in accounting software packages (NetSuite a strong plus)
• Previous work with multi-unit restaurant or franchise accounting experience a strong plus
