Overview:
Housing & Tax Consultants, LLC, a well established real estate and finance company located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is seeking a highly organized, hands on, individual for the position of Controller.

The Controller reports directly to top executives and is responsible for providing oversight for all financial and accounting activities. The Controller, working with other management, is tasked with establishing and achieving the company’s performance metrics including expense management and profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares financial statements on a monthly basis for multiple real estate partnerships

• Monitors and oversees all the accounting operations. Reviews daily the general ledger book keeping entries. Reconciles bank statements. Performs treasury management duties.

•Implements and monitors internal controls, segregation of duties, and other accounting policies.

• Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company s performance.

• Works with top executives to produce annual budgets and forecast

• Works with investors, external auditors, CPAs, and third party users of financial statement and tax return information

• Ensures the company is compliant with local, state, and federal government reporting

• Manages the accounting and administrative staff

• Implements processes to control costs and maintain systems to monitor profitability

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• 5 years Controller experience

• Recent experience with Quick books

• Strong computer skills including Google Docs, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines and expectations with minimal supervision

• Confident, professional demeanor and ability to maintain composure in a busy environment

• Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong Accounting skills to include treasury, payroll, accounting, A/P, A/R and credit.

• CMA/CPA preferred

Job Type: Part-time or Contract

Schedule:

• Hybrid/Flex Schedule with a minimum 3 days in the office

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
