Top Division Business Development Executive directs the development and execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes that will drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Top Division Business Development Executive develops a wide network of contacts to keep informed about current and future industry and market actions. Researches and analyzes the business environment, competitors, and customers to develop ideas for new products and services, pricing, and business models. Additionally, Top Division Business Development Executive directs financial feasibility studies, proposal development, and negotiations for new business opportunities. Collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Division Business Development Executive manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Top Division Business Development Executive typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience.     W International is a world class metal fabricator located in Goose Creek, SC, specializing in complex critical weldments for the defense, aerospace and commercial markets. W International’s unique facility encompasses 45 acres and over 450,000 square feet of manufacturing space on the Cooper River.     RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE:
    • Overall objective:  Seek out, develop, and book new projects.
    • Research various markets, projects, and customers to identify projects that fit W International’s capabilities.
    • Establish contacts and networks within companies responsible for awarding potential and targeted projects.
    • Arrange visits for current and potential customers to visit W International.
    • Prepare and present company overview presentations.
    • Attend conferences and trade shows with intent to pursue new projects.
    • Write detailed technical proposals for bids.  Work closely with estimating team to provide cost estimates.
    • Review bids and proposals with executive management team prior to submittal.
    • Travel to customers sites as needed to support business relationships and projects.
    • Provide updated business development dashboard for weekly business development meetings.
    • Propose new business development and capture strategies.
    • Maintain regular communication (via email and phone) with potential customers.
    • Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of W International’s capabilities and capacities.
    • Assist management team with grant proposal writing.
    • Upon award of a contract, transition knowledge from business development phase to program management and functional teams.
    Qualifications and Education Requirements
    • Proven history and success in business development in some or all the following markets:
      • Space Exploration
      • Aerospace
      • Oil and Gas
      • Nuclear Power
      • Hydropower
      • Heavy Construction
      • Defense
      • Offshore Wind
      • IT Infrastructure
      • Electric Vehicle Battery Production/Recycling
      • General Support for Prime EPC Companies
    • Must be a US Citizen or equivalent as defined by the US Department of State.
    • Strong communication and networking skills
    • Demonstrate strong decision making, mathematical, and analytical skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis
    on accuracy and timeliness.
    • Must have strong ethical values, professional attitude, and confidentiality.
    • Travel 30% - 50% of time (potentially some out of country)
    • Proficient computer data entry skills in MS Office (Work, Excel, Outlook, ERP systems)
    PREFERRED SKILLS (NOT REQUIRED)
    • 2-or-4 Year College Degree in Technical or Business field
    • Mechanical aptitude.
    • Experience working for or a project-oriented metal fabrication company.
    • Knowledge of welding and metal processing.
