Being a Top Division Business Development Executive develops a wide network of contacts to keep informed about current and future industry and market actions. Researches and analyzes the business environment, competitors, and customers to develop ideas for new products and services, pricing, and business models. Additionally, Top Division Business Development Executive directs financial feasibility studies, proposal development, and negotiations for new business opportunities. Collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Websites for Today Media publications attract more than 4 million unique visitors/year.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven new business sales experience.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Extraordinary prospecting skills.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- A proficiency in sales/digital technology, including CRMs.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent community networking skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with the publishing industry.
Requirements:- Identify and research potential publishing clients.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
- Coordinate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders.
- Monitor projects to ensure contracts are executed as agreed.
- Gather useful information from customer and competitor data.
- Make and give presentations to prospective clients.
- Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business.
- Track and report on the status of proposal components.
- Conduct ongoing market research.
