Top Data Management Executive directs the design and development of data strategies and processes to support the organization's current and future data asset requirements and meet business goals and objectives. Defines and implements the architecture, systems, and roadmap to obtain, store, integrate and manage data. Being a Top Data Management Executive utilizes data warehouses, stores, and other business intelligence systems to manage and distribute data efficiently. Establishes data governance standards and policies to develop data management guidelines that will ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security. Additionally, Top Data Management Executive adheres to data privacy regulations to ensure sensitive data is protected. Studies and evaluates emerging technologies to enhance data capabilities and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management.     Job Summary:  Provide project leadership, research, data analysis, and performance management that will build district leadership team’s capacity to align district systems toward high-impact strategies that drive student outcomes. Lead and may fully conduct the district Effective District Framework (EDF) diagnostic data evidence-gathering processes and analysis.

     

    Qualifications:  

     

    Minimum Education/Training:  

    Post Graduate Degree; Major coursework in administration or a related field is generally preferred.

     

    Experience:       

    • 10 years of educational experience in a professional capacity
    • Central office or K-12 campus-level administrative experience required
    • Track record of success in managing end-to-end, detailed long-term projects and initiatives
    • Worked with education data in the State of Texas (attendance, accountability, assessment, PEIMS, special student populations, curriculum implementation, etc.)
    • Experience with data analysis and visualization software, including platforms such as Tableau, Google Looker, Power BI, etc. preferred.
    • Experience emphasizes relentless focus on improving quantitative and qualitative student outcomes Experience managing complex scheduling logistics

    • Deep knowledge of project and performance management structures and routines to effectively initiate a plan that multiple stakeholders can access and use to track needs and progress on a year-long strategic planning initiative
    • Deep understanding of education data, data analysis, and visualization packages to drive data-informed decision-making
    • Comprehensive data analysis skills of quantitative and qualitative district inputs, outputs, and outcomes
    • Ability to analyze available district assets, gather an understanding of what’s needed, and develop a long-term plan in collaboration with TSL Lead Coach
    • Strong time management skills to be able to manage multiple district project plans simultaneously
    • Ability to prioritize high-leverage actions to support TSL Lead Coach and districts
    • Strong organizational abilities to maintain systems for storing and tracking district resources and artifacts throughout the phases of the Texas Strategic Leadership program
    • Skills in project and performance management to set goals and benchmarks and monitor progress over time
    • Ability to report on barriers and threats to effective district progress and phase completion
    • Ability to communicate insights to a wide range of stakeholders within the ESC and districts served
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Commitment to continuous learning and solutions-oriented response to feedback
