We are looking for an ambitious individual to join our Delegate and Training Sales team.
Your primary focus is securing delegates for our conferences 'll be prospecting for new business from corporate clients whose compliance or legal departments would benefit from our events or training courses on topics like Sanctions, ESG, Financial Crime, Investigations, Customer Due Diligence, Third-Party Risk, and more.
As our Delegate Sales Executive you will be responsible for:
· Meeting monthly & quarterly goals by identifying, contacting, and closing new business leads.
· Managing our sales pipeline.
· Developing a deep understanding of our suite of events & training offerings, value proposition, and the competitive landscape.
· Taking a consultative sales approach to position the benefits of our offerings as a solution to customer's challenges.
· Identifying companies that would benefit from Compliance Week’s offerings, and contacting their key decision-makers.
· Creating customized proposals aligning with corporate clients' education objectives.
· Providing weekly pipeline and opportunity report feedback.
· Using outstanding negotiating skills and marketplace/industry knowledge to secure new business.
· Pro-actively following up with customers to turn new business into recurring business.
· Supporting our Sales Director in achieving overall monthly sales goals.
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
· Strong experience in prospecting, business development and marketing in a B2B environment.
· Experience in selling B2B conferences/ events.
· Willingness to take the first step to identify & initiate contact with potential customers.
· Ability to quickly get up to speed on new course offerings.
· Curiosity to acquire feedback, accept coaching and undergo training on prospecting & closing new business.
· Strong organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to effectively prioritize and complete multiple tasks.
· Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to work independently while being a great team player.
· Eagerness to learn and motivated to grow and win, individually and as part of a team.
· Clear, demonstrable understanding of the end-to-end sales process.
· Ability to learn new products/markets and manage both warm leads and target your own prospects.
It would be great if you had:
· Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM system.
· Experience in a training/education sales environment; short course selling experience is a big plus.
