Overview: The Loan Servicing Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and servicing a diverse portfolio of loans, including Commercial, Real Estate, and Consumer loans. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including communication with internal and external stakeholders, overseeing escrow, tax, and insurance processes, managing investor reporting and remittances, and maintaining accurate loan data within our system.

Essential Duties: 

• Prepare and submit investor reports in accordance with contractual obligations. Manage remittance processes, including the timely and accurate distribution of funds to investors. Complete related balancing and reconciliations.
• Administer escrow accounts, including the collection, disbursement, and reconciliation of funds. Establish new escrow accounts when needed. Oversee property tax and insurance payment processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments. This includes private mortgage insurance, force place insurance, and flood insurance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan data within the loan servicing system. Ensure data integrity and completeness to support reporting and auditing requirements. Generate and analyze various reports related to loan servicing activities.
• Communicate effectively with borrowers, investors, and other internal and external stakeholders in person, via email, or over the phone. Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Quote and post loan payoffs, process loan payments and advances, and review loan file maintenance.
• Prepare and submit information requests for examiners, auditors, and investors.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One or more year of general bank and/or lending experience
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of financial institution and lending products, services and best practices.
• Knowledge and understanding of privacy, audit, and legal technology standards, guidelines and principles.
• Exceptional customer service and sales skills with the ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Intermediate computer skills; mainframe computers systems; internet, Microsoft office products and programs.
• Exceptional oral and written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
• Current driver's license and vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing duties assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
